Former Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani welcomes baby boy after 21 years

ISLAMABAD: Former Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani has welcomed a baby boy after 21 years, with relatives and well-wishers from across Pakistan extending their congratulations on the happy occasion.

The 48-year-old politician served as chairman of the Senate from March 2018 to March 2024. He was the first politician from Balochistan to lead the upper house of Parliament.

Sanjrani was elected Senate chairman at the age of 39, making him the youngest person to hold the position.

Originally from Nok Kundi in Balochistan’s Nushki district, Sanjrani also served as a coordinator for former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s team in 1998 and 1999.

He later worked at the Prime Minister’s Secretariat from 2008 to 2013, during the Pakistan Peoples Party’s tenure in government.
